Judge Christine Krahulik has served in Orange County Family Court for 24 years. After being in private practice Judge Krahulik began as a Court Attorney in Orange County Family in 2000. In 2007, the Administrative Judge for the 9th JD appointed Judge Krahulik as a Support Magistrate for Orange and Westchester Counties and in 2014 the people of Orange County elected her to serve as Family Court Judge. Judge Krahulik is a graduate of Albany Law School and Siena College.

In the past 24 years, Judge Krahulik has been actively involved in numerous roles within the community and the Court system. She is a graduate of Leadership Orange, past President of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange & Sullivan Counties, past member of the Attorney for the Child Advisory Panel for the Appellate Division 2d Department and served in many other leadership roles. Judge Krahulik currently serves as Treasurer for the New York State Family Court Judges Association and Chairs the NYS Child Welfare Court Improvement Project in Orange County, as well as the National Adoption Day celebration each year in Orange County.

Judge Krahulik ensures that those coming before her have meaningful access to justice by providing information needed to proceed in their case in a way that is understandable and effective. For example, Judge Krahulik strives to use plain language, rather than legalese when reading petitions and explaining constitutional rights to self-represented litigants. When the parties that come before her require the use of an interpreter, Judge Krahulik will make every effort to ensure that documents provided to the parties are in the parties’ spoken language.
